The New ABU Premier League

Yes, you heard it here first.  The African Bible University now has its own Football Premier League.  And just as the English FA started up, 150 odd years ago, with just a handful of teams, we too have started with a mere seven!  But here there is no Arsenal or Preston North End, no, we've got the likes of Bonya United, Goy F.C. and the Super Bullets!

Bonya United. 8-0 winners over Alpha F.C.
Goy F.C. 3-1 winners over Hard Rock F.C.

Now do you remember the World Cup in South Africa?  All that noise?  Those vuvuzellas?  Well, I kid you not, that is what it sounded like in our gym!  The atmosphere was terrific...and so were the games.  But the highlight of the night, and perhaps the whole tournament, was Kendy Hopes opening goal!  So why, you ask?  Because Kendry is our youngest, frailest, little girl on campus!  On a team of guys and girls, too.

The All Stars, featuring Kendy Hope (far left), lost to Super Bullets 4-5!

I won't give you all the results, but I will paste in the league table so you can keep up to date!

Oh, and there was a rat, made a guest appearance...ran under all the girls legs!  Lots of screams!  But who was to know, as they were screaming all night!

Roland Rat even came to watch!

Enjoy the pics!

The local hooligans

"Now I'm the ref, so just you remember that!"

"Penalty!"
Bring your family and friends!
It's a great night out for everyone!
